Social Inclusion Based Library Transformation Program in Improving Library Services
Siak - The Siak Regency Library and Archives Office welcomed a group from Al-Fath Health Vocational School (SMK Kesehatan Al-Fath) today. This activity is a collaboration with the Al-Fath Siak Foundation. Fifty students were divided into two study groups.
Group 1 studied English, guided by Anita, S.S., while Group 2 studied biology, guided by Anisa Fitriya, S.Pd.
The social inclusion-based library transformation program aims to make the library a center of community activity by providing facilities and infrastructure to support community activities, including the teaching and learning process, as seen today.
This program invites students to take an educational trip to the library to prevent them from becoming bored with the traditional face-to-face system. It also introduces the library as more than just a place for books, but also a comfortable and enjoyable place to learn together.
To enhance the transformation of library services based on social inclusion, we are currently engaging the community and institutions in library activities by utilizing and empowering existing library facilities and resources, as mandated by Law No. 43 of 2009 concerning Libraries, Article 5, which regulates rights and obligations.
Furthermore, we are also developing the community's potential and seeking solutions to community problems.
